Cream of Lettuce Soup
Another inspired daily menu from our friendly Crisco Cookbook. I’m not so sure about lettuce soup – I think it may be rather wilty. Cabbage? Okay. Lettuce? Meh, I’m not sold.
Anyone make lettuce soup out there in the interwebs?

I’ve made arugula soup, and I’ve tossed lettuce into many a vegetable soup, but I haven’t made it by itself. This recipe sounds like it might be good if you just substitute butter for the Crisco.

Ha! I think you’re righ – the recurring comment is: This would be a good recipe if you subsitute Crisco – But alas, it’s the Crisco Cookbook!
