Adam’s Luxury and Eve’s Cookery ~1744

Time for a new cookbook! Going back a bit further than usual for this one to the Georgian Era. Love the title.

I. Shewing the best and most approved methods of raising and bringing to the greatest perfection, all the products of the kitchen-garden; with a kalendar shewing the different products of each month, and the business proper to be done in it.

II. Containing a large collection of receipts for dressing all sorts of kitchen-stuff so as to afford a great variety of cheap, healthful, and palatable dishes.

  1. Love the title as well.

Isn’t is amazing we tend to go back to the past to find better ways of prep, cooking and keeping our goods along with effective homemade cleaners, and simple tinctures?

You had me at cheap, healthful and palatable dishes. (such a sucker for simplicity)

Enjoy reading old type of the letter f being a s and your play on words.
