Recipe for Onion Sauce.
Onions are over-flowing in our farmer’s market – both fresh green onions and dried onions. Thinking about giving this one a try – it would be pretty oniony. Not sure about the sugar. I could see this pairing well on top of roasted pork chops.
Have you made an onion sauce before? Advice? That’s a lot of onion if it winds up being awful…

This was a split on likes. Older kids liked it, younger one did not. I caramelized the onions before adding the flour and milk cause we enjoy it that way. My family can not get enough of caramelized onions!!!

Sounds like a grand cooking adventure – Did you add the sugar? Or just go with the caramelized onions? I’m not sure about the sugar bit. We had caramelized onions as well, but nothing extra fancy!!

Did I add the sugar? Honestly, I don’t remember! LOL!!
I did caramelized it before adding the milk and flour. I had the sauce today on some saute veggies. YUM!!!!
