  1. Cucumber sandwiches are popular in England, especially at tea. They also serve them at cricket matches in the UK and India. Slice thin and butter the bread else it gets soggy.

    For me, nothing beats a big sour dill pickle in the cucumber world. I used to go to a deli in my hometown that had a huge jar of them on the counter and it was great with a Reuben or a turkey club. A couple of teaspoons of pickle brine added about halfway through sautéing works really well with mushrooms.

    It’s 8a here and now I want a pickle…😠
