Of course, apple pies are on the top of the list, so here’s a great recipe on preparing apples for pies. Note that even in 1851 the cooks knew something about the preservation qualities of citric acid, layering shredded lemon peel and squeezing a little lemon juice on top (if you like).
The rose water would also add a unique, subtle flavor to the apples.
