On Oysters and Chicken Salad ~1889

Note: Recherché is exotic, rare, or esoteric. This is a fabulous line.

One of the customs of the day was to solicit recipes from the wives of the leaders of he land and reprint them in regional newspapers. Here we have commentary on oysters and the favored chicken salad recipe for Justice Matthews.
